Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Registered Nurse - Rotation
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ENP post within the A&E/Inpatient Services department based at Mid Argyll Hospital. The ENP service operates 24 hours a day, working closely with the local GPs who provide medical cover to the hospital and community.
Mid Argyll Hospital is situated on the west coast of Scotland. It is a Community Hospital within a bustling town. Inpatient services consist of a 15 bedded GP acute ward which cares for acute admissions. The Accident and Emergency department is located in the hospital. There is also a busy Outpatient department with visiting consultants from a range of specialties. Rehabilitation services from the multi-disciplinary team are also provided, as are Daycase services to provide adjunct therapies and transfusions, etc. Mid Argyll affords great opportunities for excellent work/life balance and access to outdoor activities and nearby islands.
Responsibilities
* Act as the Senior Nurse for the A&E department and also for the hospital in the out-of-hours period and in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse.
* Ensure safe and effective clinical practice, manage and develop the performance of the team and contribute to the delivery of the organisation's objectives.
* Demonstrate excellent communication, prioritising and decision making skills.
