We're caring, flexible, and creative, thriving under pressure, and skilled at connecting with people at all levels. If you enjoy helping others live independently, consider joining Waythrough's Derwent Square as a Recovery Worker.
Derwent Square is a mental health supported housing project for 5 residents, operating on a recovery model. We aim to provide stability and a learning environment to promote independence. Our services include support with living skills, medication management, and peer support through tailored plans. Our goal is to empower our residents to flourish independently.
Recovery looks different for everyone. With the right support, recovery is possible for all. As a Recovery Worker, you'll help and inspire our service users to maintain tenancies and independence, working with them to develop personal support plans to achieve their goals—whether developing domestic skills, managing finances, or accessing work, leisure, or education opportunities.
No relevant experience is required; full training will be provided. However, understanding of mental health issues or lived experience is welcomed. Key qualities include caring, compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be willing to participate in a weekly rota and be available for on-call duties.
In return, you'll receive excellent benefits, training, and development opportunities, including apprenticeships. Applications for apprenticeships are open to those in permanent roles who have passed probation.
