Job Description
What you’ll do
As a Senior Care Assistant, each day brings purpose, leadership, and the opportunity to make life-changing differences.
You will:
4. Lead and support care staff to ensure consistently high-quality care delivery
5. Act as a role model, offering guidance, coaching, and on-shift supervision
6. Support residents to remain independent within their Extra Care apartments
7. Provide companionship, reassurance, and build meaningful relationships
8. Assist with medication management, mobility, and mealtime support
9. Deliver personal care with dignity, respect, and sensitivity
10. Respond promptly to care calls and emergency alarms within the scheme
11. Support the coordination of care plans and daily task allocation
12. Encourage resident engagement in social activities and community life
13. Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and the on-site management team
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
14. Previous experience in care
15. Confidence in supporting and guiding other team members
16. Strong communication skills and a calm, reassuring approach
17. Reliability, compassion, and a commitment to excellent care
18. A willingness to complete further training and develop professionally
