They are currently seeking a motivated Junior Cybersecurity Engineer - Logging Specialist to join their growing security team. This role is ideal for someone with who is eager to build on their skills within a high-paced, regulated environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in configuring and managing security logging and monitoring tools. Work with senior engineers to analyse log data and investigate potential threats or unusual activity. Support incident response activities by gathering and reviewing relevant log information. Help maintain and improve SIEM use cases, alerts, and dashboards. Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure logging standards are followed. Document findings and contribute to reporting for audits and compliance reviews. Requirements & Experience: A degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). Proven experience working in a cybersecurity or IT security operations environment. Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, ArcSight, or QRadar. Basic knowledge of networking, security logging, and incident response procedures. Some experience with scripting (e.g. Python, Bash, or PowerShell) is beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and willingness to learn from senior team members.
