Role Title: Student Services Advisor
Location: Deeside
Contract Type: Full time - Fixed Term until February 2026
Salary: £25,550 - £26,189; salary will be based on a salary assessment and experience.
Coleg Cambria is seeking a Student Services Advisor to handle all day-to-day learner enquiries and provide appropriate information via face-to-face, telephone, chat online, and email. Responsibilities include supporting learners with welfare issues and disseminating information regarding course advice, guidance, DBS checks, and transport passes.
Essential Requirements:
1. Good standard of education (GCSE Grade D and above in literacy and numeracy)
2. NVQ Level 3 Advice and Guidance
3. Experience in providing advice and guidance
4. Experience dealing with young people’s welfare issues
5. Experience managing sensitive situations
6. Knowledge of learner support issues
7. Personal resilience to handle various situations
8. Good ICT skills
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
10. Ability to establish effective working relationships; a strong team player
11. Self-confident, energetic, and enthusiastic in the learning environment
12. Creative, innovative, and imaginative
13. Open and responsive to others’ needs
14. Adaptability to changing circumstances and new ideas
15. Commitment to continuous personal and professional development
