Why SLP?
The Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Development Program (“SLP”) is a fast-track rotational program designed to develop future leaders. It targets recent graduates with internship experience in Finance & Accounting and relevant degrees, passionate about a long-term career in Corporate Finance & Accounting.
Participants will rotate through approximately four 6-month assignments across various Finance functions in Europe, gaining exposure and contributing to business success. The program offers challenging developmental opportunities and professional growth.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Planning, managing, and delivering projects.
* Collaborating with business groups to improve efficiency.
* Leading projects ensuring compliance with requirements and methodologies.
* Monitoring and reporting project status, addressing issues.
* Facilitating training programs for business transformation.
* Identifying improvement opportunities and suggesting changes.
* Leading finance projects to streamline processes and optimize working capital.
* Gathering and reporting KPIs globally.
* Presenting project updates to the Executive Team quarterly.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business field.
* Demonstrated leadership experience.
* Passion for excellence and leadership.
* High integrity and accountability.
* Excellent communication skills across all levels.
* Willingness to rotate and relocate across Europe every 6 months.
* Effective communication with all organizational levels.
* Self-motivated with analytical problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Office Suite.
* Basic knowledge of accounting and finance.
* A proactive “can-do” attitude.
The primary location for the Finance SLP is Mechelen, Belgium, with potential rotations across Europe. Candidates must have the right to live and work in Belgium and Europe.
