Job Description
The responsibilities of a Supply & Demand Planner:
3. Develop and refine demand forecasts using ERP data, sales insights, and Excel models.
4. Monitor inventory and supply plans to align stock levels with forecasted demand and prevent shortages or excess, looking after 17,000 + SKUs.
5. Maintain and optimise min/max/safety stock settings, analysing slow‑moving or obsolete items to improve efficiency.
6. Review supplier lead times and collaborate with Purchasing and suppliers to mitigate supply risks.
7. Prepare and present demand and supply insights for S&OP, highlighting key changes and risks.
8. Work cross‑functionally with Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Operations to ensure business alignment.
9. Produce regular planning reports and identify trends to support decision‑making and improve forecast accuracy.
10. Own the management and ordering for a small number of suppliers
The Successful Applicant
11. A successful Supply & Demand Planner should have:
12. Experience in supply planning, demand planning & inventory planning.
13. Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, forecasting models).
14. Experience working with ERP systems for inventory and supply chain management.
15. Experience with demand planning or forecasting tools.
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
17. Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable plans.
18. Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
19. Knowledge and experience of S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes.
20. Understanding of supply chain concepts such as safety stock, lead time management, and inventory optimization.
