Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Factory Supervisor for a full-time, on-site role located in Ashby-De-La-Zouch. This in-person position is 40 hours per week 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday. This role involves overseeing and taking an active hands-on role in daily production processes, ensuring quality control, managing operations, and coordinating with our small experienced production team to achieve manufacturing goals. The Supervisor will also be responsible for planning and implementing production schedules, monitoring workflow efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications
* Experience of manufacturing bespoke furniture including the ability to make 5 piece doors, drawer boxes, frames etc and knowledge of the assembly processes is essential as you will need excellent technical knowledge in order to fully support the team. CNC machine operation would also be an advantage.
* This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will take an active role in production while leading a small team.
* The ability to take our manufacturing systems and create and manage production schedules supporting our skilled craftspeople and keeping workflows running smoothly
* Strong expertise in Quality Control to ensure high standards of craftsmanship and compliance with specifications.
* Knowledge of Factory Management to effectively lead a team, problem solve using your own knowledge and initiative and streamline processes.
* Understanding of Manufacturing Operations and the ability to manage all resources efficiently and oversee equipment maintenance.
* To lead by example in maintaining a safe working environment and manage compliance with required safety standards.
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.
* Experience in furniture manufacturing is essential
* Relevant experience or training in production management or operations are advantageous
