The Role of the Hospital Business Manager: Selling a range of ophthalmic surgical products/devices including IOLs (monovision and premium), procedure packs, single use surgical instruments and clean air solutions. Selling to ophthalmic surgeons, consultants, nurses and procurement. Currently 60% NHS and 40% private clinics; the private sector is growing, with a real focus on that area. There is significant potential in the region, and a focused, strategic approach will enable a big positive impact. The role is geared towards growth and new business opportunities, with full support from the business in a targeted way. Covering a North West territory, ideally based on the M62 Corridor.
Responsibilities
* Sell a range of ophthalmic surgical products/devices to ophthalmic surgeons, consultants, nurses and procurement.
* Develop new business opportunities and growth in the North West territory.
* Work with the business to execute strategic plans and contribute to area growth.
Benefits
* £40k-£50k basic salary (DOE)
* Bonus up to 20%

Ideal Person
* Ideally from a surgical ophthalmology background.
* Will consider candidates from other surgical/theatre medical devices with the ability to learn quickly and work in a niche therapy area.
* Willing to work hard, think strategically, be self-motivated, pragmatic and tenacious in pursuing growth opportunities.
* Highly developed interpersonal, networking and influencing skills.
* Team-spirited, quick learner, and able to support colleagues.
* Excellent written, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
* Strong personal drive.
