Job Opportunity: Older Peoples’ Psychological Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Older Peoples’ Psychological Service, alongside the Community Mental Health teams, in the West Kent Directorate.

This role is suitable for someone with a genuine interest in working therapeutically with a diverse and rewarding client group. Essential skills include an understanding of the needs of people with mental health difficulties and dementia, as well as the ability to work with individuals experiencing cognitive difficulties.

* Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a car/vehicle for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Role Details
You will work within the Older Peoples Psychological Services, collaborating with the Community Mental Health Team based in South West Kent (Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks). The focus will be on enhancing psychological care for older adults and supporting the Memory Assessment Service.
Responsibilities
1. Providing multidisciplinary psychological interventions for older people with complex mental health issues and dementia.
2. Experience in neuropsychological assessment for dementia is essential.
3. Line management and clinical supervision of staff, including qualified and junior psychologists and multidisciplinary team members.
4. Consultation with carers, families, and teams.
5. Participation in staff development and group work.
6. Conducting service evaluations and audits to improve psychological services.
7. Travel to different work locations as required.
