Personal Assistant Position
Support in my home to enable me to live more independently.
Schedule & Compensation
12.5 hrs on average per week.
- Morning Personal Care: Monday to Friday for 2 hrs each, either 7:30‑9:30 or 8:00‑10:00 (open to alternative morning timings).
- 5 hrs of support every 2 weeks for meal preparation.
Pay: £14.10 per hour.
5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). Probation period required. DBS check required at no expense to you.
Responsibilities
- Support with showering, washing hair or bathing.
- Personal care reminders: brushing teeth, using medical aids and changing ostomy bag.
- Support putting clothes away and some dressing assistance.
- Preparation of breakfast.
- Twice‑weekly meal prep: putting shopping away and meal preparation – cooking is not required, only the ability to follow directions and pass relevant ingredients.
Qualifications
- Female (due to personal care tasks).
- Good communication skills, scheduling, and time management.
- Willingness to learn.
- Reliable, empathetic, trustworthy, and friendly.
- Experience preferred but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence not essential.
- Comfortable around dogs (the employer has two energetic 3‑year‑old dogs).
- Understanding of the employer’s conditions may be useful but is not essential.
