Senior Occupational Therapist – Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) at EPUT
The post holder will be based at St Aubyn's Centre in Colchester and Rochford Hospital. You will support assessment and intervention for young people, and work with band 5 Occupational Therapists, apprentices and activity coordinators.
We provide an integrated service with a holistic assessment of psychological, social and physical needs. All young people receive an assessment before decisions about inpatient treatment or discharge.

Main Duties
 * Undertake occupational therapy assessments for all young people in Longview, Larkwood and Poplar wards, addressing occupational performance and skill deficits.
 * Use specialist assessments for complex cases.
 * Decide on the level of treatment intervention required.
 * Plan treatment, communicate and negotiate plans with patients and carers.
 * Share agreed treatment plans with the multi‑disciplinary team and partnership agencies.
 * Conduct manual‑handling assessments to inform carers and professionals.
 * Collaborate to modify the environment to empower patients and optimise functional performance.
