Chemilab group of independent community pharmacies is looking to add a Pharmacist Manager to its friendly and dedicated team, on an interim basis, with scope for future development. We operate a number of practices at the heart of our community across Watford, Hertfordshire, so you will have the support of an experienced team in branch, as well as pharmacist peers across our network to help develop your professional career.
This job is a fantastic opportunity to serve the community, with opportunities to deliver additional clinical services, enabling the individual to put their own stamp on the pharmacy practice.
The Pharmacist should have experience in community pharmacy and diligent attention to detail, while being personable and passionate. They should be driven, confident in communicating and take pride in providing excellent patient care. This fixed 1 year Contract is suitable for Pharmacists qualified with an MPharm degree, or equivalent qualification, and GPhC registration.
Duties:
- Dispense prescription medications to patients and provide medication counseling
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use
- Review medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Monitor patient medication therapy for potential drug interactions or adverse effects
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles
- Provide education and guidance to patients on proper medication use and potential side effects
- Participate in pharmacy quality improvement initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and drug therapy
Qualifications:
- MPharm degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and GPhC registration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug therapy, and pharmacy regulations
Desirable skills include:
* Experience in community pharmacy
* Qualified independent prescriber, or working towards this
* Non-judgemental attitude and ability to be flexible and adaptable
* Self-motivated
