Purpose of Role:
The Senior Product Engineer plays a key role in Harbour Energy's IS Products team, driving the maintenance, enhancement, and innovation of our digital product portfolio. This position ensures secure, reliable, and compliant solutions that meet evolving business needs while contributing to strategic digital transformation initiatives.

Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy's Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
1. Provide technical support for M365 development technologies (Power Platform – Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
2. Implement minor modifications and enhancements to bespoke solutions; ensure major enhancements are transitioned to the Data & Digital team for full-scale development and deployment.
3. Review products to be handed over to operations, confirming handover criteria are met before acceptance.
4. Monitor and optimise solution performance to maintain high availability and user satisfaction.
5. Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
6. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels through presentations, reports, and workshops.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product requirements as per agreed roadmaps.
8. Create and maintain operational documentation (processes, procedures, design/configuration, operating manuals).
9. Develop user guides and training materials to ensure effective application usage.
10. Ensure compliance with security, regulatory standards, and health & safety requirements, including data protection and cybersecurity best practices.
11. Provide technical leadership in diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
12. Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning innovation, and adoption of best practices.
13. Liaise with third-party vendors for lifecycle support, ensuring platform integrity and timely issue resolution.
14. Evaluate vendor performance and manage relationships to maintain quality standards and compliance with SLAs.
15. Demonstrated expertise in managing projects across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
16. Utilise tools such as Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint planning, and progress tracking.
Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.:
17. Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in application development languages and frameworks, as well as knowledge of software architecture and design principles.
18. Proven experience in managing across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ideally within the oil and gas industry or a similar complex operational environment.
19. Solid working knowledge in M365 development technologies e.g. Power App, Power Automate, Power BI, Data Verse.
20. Familiarity with Data engineering e.g. Azure development, Python.
21. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose, analyse, and resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.
22. Communication Skills: Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
23. Backlog Management: Create and maintain Agile backlog to guide work planning and execution. Experience working in Agile methodology such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and prioritise backlog items based on business value and feasibility.
