Teaching Personnel is working closely with a specialist secondary school in Woodeaton that offers a highly supportive setting for pupils aged 11–16, many of whom benefit from a primary-style teaching approach to support emotional regulation, engagement, and academic progress.
About the Role:
Position: SEMH Teacher
Setting: Secondary school with a nurturing, primary-style classroom structure
Students: KS3–KS4 pupils with SEMH needs, including anxiety, trauma-related behaviours, and ASD
Curriculum: Broad and adapted, with an emphasis on emotional literacy and life skills
Hours: Full-time (Mon–Fri), term time only
Location: Woodeaton, Oxfordshire (easily accessible from Oxford, Bicester, and surrounding areas)
Ideal Candidate:
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience in SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision settings
Able to deliver lessons in a primary-style structure within a secondary curriculum framework
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Patient, empathetic, and skilled in trauma-informed practice
Comfortable working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
