Scope
We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and personable person to join our highly successful team in order to provide effective paralegal and administrative support to PAs within the department.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with post-exchange and post-completion matters, including drafting and serving notices, statutory declarations, statements of truth, SDLT submissions and payments, making Land Registry applications and responding to Land Registry requisitions.
* Supporting the PAs with document management (NetDocuments) and transaction progression across a caseload of complex, high-value matters, primarily development and estate sales and purchases, agricultural tenancy agreements and acquisitions for luxury residential schemes.
* Preparing, formatting and proof-reading legal documents, correspondence and reports to support PAs and fee earners.
* Drafting routine correspondence and emails on behalf of fee earners to support the PAs across the Property department.
* Managing document control, including version control, filing and organisation within the document management system, and creating and maintaining accurate electronic (and physical where required) matter files.
* Acting as a point of overflow support for PAs during peak periods, including periods of annual leave or high transaction volume.
* Assisting with diary coordination, meeting arrangements and room bookings as required.
* Supporting client onboarding processes, including conflict checks, AML/KYC documentation and accurate record-keeping.
* Assisting with matter opening and closing processes, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Carrying out legal and factual research using a range of online and reference sources.
* Analysing and summarising legal and commercial issues methodically, identifying solutions and communicating them clearly.
* Providing paralegal support to PAs on transactions through drafting, research and analysis.
* Preparing report appendices and supporting documentation as requested.
* Ordering office copies from the Land Registry and planning/building regulation documents from local authorities.
* Updating and managing data rooms/extranets.
* Assisting team members with preparation for client meetings, presentations and business development events.
* Supporting the preparation of marketing materials and brochures for the Property Department.
* Providing paralegal support on team-wide and firm-wide projects.
* Providing wider administrative and paralegal support to the Property Department during busy periods or absences, including assisting with calls, copying, general administrative tasks and file closing.

* Previous experience in a paralegal position with a Property focus, would be preferred.
Education and Qualifications
* Strong academic background.
Special aspects
* Standard office hours are 09.30 to 17.30 Monday to Friday, but it is essential that the applicant is committed, flexible and prepared to work beyond the normal office hours when necessary and in response to demand.
* You will be expected to follow the firm’s agile working policy, which embraces home working but will require employees to spend a minimum number of days each week in the London office.
