5 Days a week MSK FCP Service (Monday and Thursday)
We are seeking a first-contact practitioner to deliver specialist MSK physiotherapy assessments and treatments across a range of clinic-based settings, acting autonomously and collaborating within GP surgeries/primary care networks as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will also assist with service development and training programs.
Main Overview of Role:
* To independently provide joint injection therapy and physiotherapy assessment to formulate a clinical diagnosis and an appropriate treatment plan, placing the patient at the centre of care using evidence-based and best-practice approaches.
* You can use support from a senior physiotherapist where required, recognising their own limitations.
* Could you maintain physiotherapy records in line with HCPC regulations?
* It's a timely completion of medical reports when needed.
* Participate in training to ensure CPD is maintained in line with professional standards.
* Excellent communication with staff, patients, and relatives.
* To be involved in the development of new FCP clinics and services.
Key Objectives:
* Achieve the best outcome for each patient by working to the best of your ability.
* To ensure a biopsychosocial approach is taken and adapted as appropriate to take account of factors such as patients' religious, cognitive, and social difficulties or beliefs.
* You'll need to refer to other practitioners in complex cases or out of scope.
* Please prioritise your own workload, ensuring good time management, the completion of required documents, and case management.
* I'd like for you to maintain your own diary of SystmOne/EMIS, using admin and line manager support as required to implement changes.
* Ability to formulate a diagnosis and be confident in providing advice, prognosis and treatment plan. Enabling patient-led treatment and informed consent.
* Promoting the physiotherapy profession while adhering to the code of conduct.
* I'd like for you to maintain knowledge of processes and procedures for each referring party, and seek clarification when necessary.
