Overview
Support Worker at Orbis Education and Care. Full Time: 43.4 hours per week, with a range of hours available including part time and nights. Plus an annual location allowance of £1500. We’re a leading organisation dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children and adults with complex needs associated with autism.
Location: Rosendale, Lydstep – situated in a calm, supportive and homely living environment for up to six adults from age 18. The main house includes four en-suite bedrooms, a large lounge, a teaching area and a kitchen/dining area; there is also a 2-bed self-contained flat.

A day in the life
* Ensuring physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment
* Supporting people during recreational activities, outings and community integration
* Promoting independence, self-esteem and confidence, and celebrating achievements and milestones
* Working with the team to tailor support to individual needs
* Keeping accurate records of activities, progress and incidents
* General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation
What we’re looking for
* A compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to make a positive impact
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships
* Resilience and patience, adaptable to individual needs
* Willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team
* Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication
* Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts
Note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
