A global engineering company is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design and delivery of glovebox systems for nuclear applications. This is a senior technical leadership role ideal for someone with deep expertise in mechanical engineering projects, containment systems, and a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across high-value contracts.
Key Responsibilities of Engineering Manager:
Act as Engineering Design Authority and Nominated Engineer across major contracts
Lead glovebox design lifecycle from concept to commissioning
Ensure compliance with ISO 10648, ASME, BS EN, and nuclear safety standards
Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and safety disciplines
Provide technical input to tenders and business development
Mentor junior engineers and support strategic capability growth
Candidate Requirements for Engineering Manager Role:
Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (BEng/BSc); postgraduate qualification preferred
Chartered Engineer status (IMechE, IET or equivalent)
10+ years in nuclear engineering, including glovebox or containment systems
Strong CAD (SolidWorks/Inventor), CFD/FEA, and stainless-steel fabrication knowledge
Demonstrable leadership in engineering delivery and team development
British National with ability to obtain SC clearance
