Summary The Manager of Emergency Management and Preparedness is accountable for the organization’s overall planning, organization, direction, coordination and evaluation of emergency preparedness activities and readiness. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: financial management, quality improvement, staff education/development, program development, and communication. The incumbent will ensure that RRMC maintains a state of preparedness for all emergencies, both physical and cyber-related, that would impact operations and the organization’s ability for RRMC to meet organizational goals and responsibilities effectively and efficiently to the communities and populations served. This individual is responsible for ensuring RRMC compliance with all emergency preparedness regulatory requirements outlined by state and federal agencies and to serve as the organization’s primary liaison with all organizations and agencies regarding actual emergency events, emergency preparedness planning and exercises.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and oversee emergency management and preparedness programs to ensure organizational readiness for all emergencies (physical and cyber-related).
* Coordinate financial management, quality improvement, staff education and development, program development, and communication related to emergency preparedness.
* Ensure compliance with emergency preparedness regulatory requirements from state and federal agencies.
* Serve as the organization’s primary liaison with external organizations and agencies regarding emergency events, preparedness planning and exercises.
Minimum Education
* Bachelor’s Degree in Disaster/Emergency Management, Public Safety/Disaster Operations, Cyber Security, Public Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Work Experience
* 5 years’ experience in large organization emergency preparedness including three years in a leadership role with a proven record of emergency preparedness planning, exercise planning/execution and grant support.
* 3 years’ experience in a Cyber Security-related role within a non-profit organization.
* Experience in HAZMAT Decontamination and Emergency Response Team management/coordination.
* Hospital emergency preparedness experience preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications
* Certification in disaster, hazardous materials decontamination or ICS/HICS training preferred.
* Valid Driver’s License.

* Ability to develop and deliver training materials for employees at all levels as well as the community.

* Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate many simultaneous activities.

* Proficient Microsoft desktop application skills.
* Knowledge of planning, education and exercise requirements associated with the phases of emergency management.
Salary Range: $60,300.00 - $96,250.00
