Sales Director – Global Technology & Solutions
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Sales or Commercial Leader to take ownership of a global sales function within a technology-led organisation. As Sales Director, you will oversee all commercial operations—including sales leadership, channel development, and customer relationship management—while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable revenue growth and expand market presence.
You will shape and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy, develop new and complementary business channels, and lead market penetration efforts across both established and emerging territories.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead strategic commercial decision-making, including long-term goal setting, growth opportunity identification, and major deal negotiation.
* Drive revenue expansion across new and existing accounts by identifying scalable opportunities.
* Develop targeted approaches for acquiring, retaining, and maximising value from key accounts.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global sales team across diverse regions and cultures.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine commercial strategy and maintain competitive advantage.
* Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other internal teams to ensure commercial objectives align with broader business goals.
* Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Champion CRM and sales enablement tools to support data-driven decision-making.
* Communicate customer insights and feedback to innovation teams to support product evolution.
Location
Home-based within the UK, with occasional travel to regional offices as required.
* Proven track record in commercial leadership roles within a relevant technology sector (e.g., hardware, software, security, or identification solutions).
* Strong business acumen with expertise across sales, marketing, and business development disciplines.
* Excellent strategic thinking, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
* Demonstrated success in building and strengthening relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
