Consultant Psychiatrist – Adult Community Service, Bridgwater
Apply for this permanent, full‑time (10 PA) post with Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. This role is based in Glanville House in the centre of Bridgwater.
There may be some flexibility in the working time equivalent to suit successful candidates’ requirements. If an appropriate candidate who cannot work full‑time applies, their application will be considered by management.
This post has arisen due to the relocation of a previous psychiatrist and the expansion of the community psychiatry service. Remote working can also be considered.
Responsibilities include providing senior psychiatric services to community mental health teams for three of the twelve GP surgeries in the Bridgwater and Burnham area. Patients will be under the care of the Bridgwater Adult Community Mental Health team (CMHT). This is a 1 in 10 rota operating 5 pm to 9 am on weekdays; on weekends the rota operates from 9 am on Saturday morning to 9 am on Monday morning.
