Multi-Skilled Trade Operative - Midlands

Motion Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor delivering remedial, disrepair, and refurbishment services for major housebuilders, housing associations, retail organisations, and property management companies.
Our client operates to high standards across occupied residential properties, where quality, professionalism, and customer care are essential. This is a customer-facing role and would suit a skilled, organised tradesperson who takes pride in their work and in representing both the contractor and their clients professionally.
The Role
The successful candidate will carry out a range of remedial, disrepair, and refurbishment works within occupied new-build properties across the Midlands. Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* 1st and 2nd fix joinery
* Diagnosing and rectifying creaking floors
* Installation of external doors and frames
* Bathroom refits
* Plaster patching
* Painting and decorating
* Sealant application
You will also be responsible for:
* Maintaining a company vehicle
* Managing stock levels
* Completing job sheets and paperwork accurately and on time
Required Skills & Experience
We are seeking a multi-skilled operative with proven experience in a similar role. Candidates must be qualified and competent in at least one of the following core trades:
* Carpentry & Joinery
* Bathroom fitting & tiling
* Painting & decorating
* Plastering / plaster patching
* Plumbing
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
* Have demonstrable experience and a portfolio of relevant work
* Be self-motivated and able to work independently
* Show strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Be tidy, organised, and respectful when working in customers' homes
* Hold a Full UK driving licence and CSCS card

* Starting salary £30,000 per annum, with review following probation
