Our stunning care home, Ruddington Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in Wilford, Nottingham. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with various needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. Ruddington Manor is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We prioritize safety, comfort, and high-quality care, and are located in a great area with a strong local reputation. We have maintained 0 agency usage for over 4 years by employing a permanent staff team, ensuring continuity and trust with residents. All staff are paid at least the national living wage.
We are seeking kind, compassionate, and committed Care Assistants to join our team on days. You will deliver quality care in line with Care Plans and contribute to the smooth running of the home. Full-time contracts are available at an hourly rate of £11.44, paid regardless of age. Applicants must be over 18. Shift times are 07:45-20:00 with paid handover, including alternate weekends.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Deliver person-centred, hands-on care to residents.
2. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
3. Model best practice in care delivery.
4. Assist residents with physical, emotional, and spiritual needs as per care plans.
5. Contribute to daily resident records.
6. Work effectively within a team and complete delegated tasks efficiently.
7. Promote and safeguard the welfare of residents and adults in contact with the post holder.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Experience as a Care Assistant in a care environment is essential.
2. Care certificate or equivalent, or willingness to achieve within 12 months.
3. Good knowledge of care practices for older people.
4. Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application.
5. Ability to work well in a team.
6. Self-motivated and confident.
