Wood Machinist
Northallerton area, £13.50-£14.50 p/hr DOE, 39hrs per week, permanent, free parking,
Wood Machinist required for a growing manufacturer in the Northallerton area. We are very interested to hear from candidates with previous wood working experience to work alongside highly skilled staff producing joinery products in a targeted production environment. You will be responsible for producing high quality, bespoke products in a busy workshop.
The role:
1. Working with a range of machinery including cross cut / rip & band saws, dimension saw, cabinet sanders, linishers, hot press, moulders, spindle moulders, edge sanders, & orbital sanders to make items bespoke to customer requirements
2. Cutting raw materials to size
3. Operating a counter balance forklift
4. Working with hardwoods to produce high quality components
5. Producing a range of furniture working to high quality standards
6. Working in line with health & safety standards
The person:
7. Will have confident experience and knowledge of woodworking, including woodworking machinery and tools, training will be given on company standards and processes
8. Have previous experience of operating a counter balance forklift
9. Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
10. Be reliable with a good record of attendance and time keeping
11. Be professional, hard-working, and conscientious
12. Ability to read and work to drawings
13. Proven background in producing high quality components
