We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, capable person to join our team. You will be
responsible for providing senior financial support and expertise to Oxfordshire Community
Churches and its subsidiaries, incorporating financial accounting, tax, budgeting and
cashflow monitoring. There will be opportunities to work on specific projects alongside
daily tasks, and plenty of room for growth and development.
Due to the nature of the work, it is a genuine occupational requirement that the post-holder
be a committed Christian willing to work with others in the context of the Oxfordshire
Community Churches ethos.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparation of the statutory financial statements (year end 31 August) and liaison
with the auditors and Corporation Tax advisors.
2. Preparation of VAT returns for the charity and trading subsidiary, including annual
adjustments and agreement of methodologies with HMRC. Main point of contact for
internal VAT queries.
3. Oversight of the annual budgeting process. Preparation of the Charity Hub (shared
services operating unit) budgets.
4. Cashflow monitoring and forecasting. Credit control for trading subsidiary.
5. Responsibility for banking relationships.
6. Main point of contact for internal technical queries on accounting rules, compliance,
Charity regulations, etc.
7. Main point of contact for the charitable subsidiary Kingsgrove Community Hub,
including dealing with the intercompany loan.
8. Any other duties commensurate to the role as directed by the Finance Director.
