You will be required to work various shifts and weekends.
In this unique career, you’ll have the opportunity to carry out many different roles in any one day. One minute you’re a peacekeeper, the next you’re a counsellor or a teacher. You’ll work directly with prisoners in a unique environment, helping to protect the public and make a positive impact.
Responsibilities
* Protect the public and contribute to the safety of the prison, staff and offenders.
* Build constructive, positive and professional relationships with offenders, understanding the challenges they face.
* Work as part of a team to support colleagues and help maintain a safe environment.
* Perform varied duties across shifts and weekends as required.
* Engage with prisoners in a way that supports rehabilitation and public safety.
