Job Summary
RecQuest is working on behalf of an ambitious law firm looking to expand its Family Law team and seeking a dedicated Family Law Solicitor to join them in Petersfield. They are searching for a motivated individual with 3+ years PQE, experienced in handling family law matters, who can manage and grow an existing caseload.
Responsibilities
* Providing expert legal advice on family law matters, including divorce, separation, financial settlements, and cohabitation agreements.
* Advising on matters related to child arrangements, parental responsibility, and disputes.
* Drafting pre‑nuptial and post‑nuptial agreements tailored to clients' needs.
* Representing clients in court proceedings and negotiations, ensuring their best interests are upheld.
* Handling sensitive cases involving domestic abuse and emergency injunctions.
* Advising on alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and collaborative law.
What They Offer
* Competitive salary range: £45,000 – £55,000
* Full‑time, permanent role
* Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
* Bonus scheme of up to £20,000 extra
* Firm‑wide bonus with an extra 9% of salary on top.
* Solicitors 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
* Long service awards an extra day when they hit 5 years, 10 years and 15 years
* In addition: Christmas closure typically from 5pm on 23rd December until 9am on 2nd January
* Half day for birthday if it falls on a working day
* 1 Wellness Day per year
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (minimum 3 years PQE) with experience in Family Law matters.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to independently manage a busy caseload.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in handling sensitive and emotional client situations.
* A compassionate, client‑focused approach combined with business acumen to help build and grow the firm's client base.
* Previous experience using case management systems.
