Jewell Academy Bournemouth opened in September 2013 as a brand-new school, serving the Townsend area of Bournemouth and operating as part of the growing Aspirations Academies Trust.We grew from a two-year school in 2013 to a full school by 2019 and have a full preschool on site.We have a wonderful close-knit team here at Jewell and we support our staff with their career progression by offering innovative and targeted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities so they can get where they want to be.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding SENDCo and LAC teacher who is enthusiastic and passionate about being a leader of learning, with a strong teaching or ITT training track record and who puts children at the heart of all they do.
As a SENDCo and a LAC Teacher your duties will include being responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy, providing professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and other agencies, developing strategies that promote the opportunity for all pupils with SEND to progress at their expected rate and achieve the targets set for them. This will also include maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of national and local initiatives which may affect the school’s policy and practice and evaluating whether funding is being used effectively.
Ideally, we want someone who has experience working with the KS1 and KS2 age range and can balance using their own initiative with working as part of a dedicated and supportive team. In return we can offer a strong team of enthusiastic and dedicated staff, engaged children who are keen to learn and a supportive wider school community
