Overview
The successful candidate for this role will be trained to deliver pipework and plant installations on a wide variety of Fixed Fire Suppression and Water Mist systems. You will be part of a highly experienced engineering team where you will receive full training to become a fully qualified Fire Suppression Engineer. Every day in this role will be highly varied and may involve travelling to various pre-booked appointments, completing works to Fixed Fire Suppression equipment.
Responsibilities
* Training will be provided to enable the engineer to become self-reliant if required.
* Installations on projects under the supervision of the lead installation engineer.
* Installing alongside other engineers, subbies or junior engineers.
* Installation of dedicated plant equipment, pump and tanks.
* Monitoring all aspects of project progress to ensure that they comply with all quality aspects and Health & Safety requirements.
* Ensure installed heads & pipe match with designs, issue as-built photos and marked up drawings with any alterations.
Qualifications / Experience
* Understanding of BS EN 15004 and BS EN 12845/ BS8489.
* Previous experience working on suppression systems is preferred; training will be provided.
* Previous experience of installing Co2, FM200, FK-5-1-12 (Novec 1230), IG-01, IG-55, IG-100 and IG-541 Gaseous Fire Suppression Systems is advantageous.
* Previous experience of installing Low and High Pressure Water Mist Systems (Danfoss, JCI ULF and VID Firekill) is advantageous.
* Flexible with working hours and ability to work away from home within the UK and Europe when required.
* Ability to work unsupervised with the capability to problem solve.
* Willingness to learn and develop within a growing organisation.
* Full clean UK driving license essential.
* Be a positive, friendly and a strong confident communicator.
