Technip Energies is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cost Administrator to join our team working on the innovative Net Zero Teesside Power Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the recovery of disallowed costs and the verification of payment applications, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Cost Recovery: Identify, document, and pursue recovery of disallowed or non-compliant costs in accordance with contractual terms and project policies.
- Payment Verification: Review and verify payment applications submitted by contractors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual and project-specific requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Analyse cost data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate financial risks.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of cost recoveries, payment verifications, and related correspondence. Prepare regular reports for project management and stakeholders.
- Contractual Compliance: Ensure all cost recovery and payment processes adhere to contractual obligations, project procedures, and industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project controls, finance, procurement, and legal teams to facilitate accurate cost management and dispute resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of cost control and verification processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent qualification.

- Previous experience in similar positions on major construction projects.
- Proven experience in cost control, quantity surveying, or financial verification within large-scale engineering or energy projects.
- Strong understanding of contractual terms, payment processes, and cost recovery mechanisms.
- Experience with project management software and financial systems.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of sustainability and energy transition projects is a plus.
