The post is full-time and available immediately. The post holder will be responsible for carrying out research within a defined area of an ongoing programme focused on metabolic profiling and target validation to support TB drug discovery. The role will involve the application of liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS) approaches to quantify cellular metabolism and measure changes in metabolite abundance following chemical inhibition or genetic perturbation of priority drug targets. The post holder will work as part of a collaborative research team and will provide guidance to less experienced members of the research group, including postdocs, research assistants, technicians, and PhD and project students.
