Hours of work – 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Technical Buyer Duties::
* Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with business goals, informed by market analysis and future trends to create competitive advantage
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, driving performance, resolving issues, and leveraging supplier innovation
* Source, evaluate and select suppliers using cost, quality, delivery and risk criteria, ensuring timely processes and effective negotiations
* Manage purchase orders and oversee total cost of ownership to optimise commercial outcomes
* Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Expediting and Supplier Quality teams to align supplier selection, product development and customer requirements
* Provide guidance to Assistant Buyers and translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable expectations for suppliers
The Person
* Previous experience within a technical manufacturing or engineering environment
* Proven commercial capability, including skilled negotiation and effective problem-solving to resolve supply issues and secure best outcomes
* SAP (Desirable)
