Opportunity for a talented Chemical Engineering Gradulate to join this fabulous SME business to support with projects throughout the UK. Travel to client sites once a month approx and periodic office visits. An understanding of the ATEX and UKEX Legislation and their implementation in design of machinery for explosive environments. And performing DSEAR assessments. Core duties include: * Support with the Carrying out assessments of products and machinery against ATEX/UKEX essential requirements * Support with carrying out explosion risk assessments. * Examination and assessment of equipment on behalf of clients, determining deficiencies and corrective actions where necessary * Support with performing DSEAR assessments at clients' premises in the UK and worldwide * Assisting clients with the identification and application of relevant legislation and standards for safety and performance of their products/assemblies * Assisting clients with the design and implementation of safety and quality procedures * Evaluation, preparation and compilation of Technical Files * Research into existing and proposed legislation and standards * Reporting your findings on the above matters to the client by telephone and in writing * Working safely and in accordance with clients’ health and safety management systems providing any risk assessments related to your work activities as required * Preparation and presentation of training materials and courses Machinery – Desired Knowledge and Experience: * EU Machinery Directive and UK Machinery Legislation * Machinery Risk Assessment technique, including EN ISO 12100 * Use or knowledge of at least one machinery safety Standard (e.g., EN ISO 13849 or any Type C standard) * Machinery guarding, Control systems and Electrical equipment of machinery
