Overview
Senior Security Engineer based in Manchester, UK at Fitch Group (myGwork – LGBTQ+ Business Community). Fitch Group is a global financial information services provider delivering credit and risk insights, data, and analytics. This role sits in Fitch's Technology & Data Team, focusing on security reviews for infrastructure changes and productivity tooling across Fitch business units.
Responsibilities
* Review infrastructure changes (OS updates, application updates, network and identity provider configurations) to identify and document security risks.
* Review software and browser extension requests from internal teams.
* Ensure due diligence on changes and releases in accordance with Fitch policies; perform QA on vulnerability scan reports.
* Advise on security policies, standards, procedures, and metrics; participate in security tool management.
* Own the continuous optimization of team workflows with agentic technology and scrum tooling.
You May Be a Good Fit If
* Familiarity with OpenID Connect, SSO protocols, and integration with leading Identity Providers.
* Understanding of browser security models, especially extension-related risks.
* Experience reviewing security risks related to network configuration changes, including proxy settings (e.g., PAC files), DNS entries, and related updates.
* AI-first mindset; ability to identify opportunities to automate analysis and administrative tasks while improving assessment quality.
* Experience leveraging AI-powered security tools or platforms to enhance vulnerability detection, threat analysis, or incident response.
