Continuous Improvement Engineer

TipTopJob, an established market leader in supply chain solutions, is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their manufacturing team near Coleshill. Reporting to the Manufacturing Design Engineering Manager, the role focuses on process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve quality while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies in manufacturing and company processes.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to perform DMAIC activities to eliminate inefficiencies across the business.
* Monitor and analyse KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and take corrective action.
* Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to optimise operations and nurture continuous improvement within the manufacturing team.
* Establish relationships with shift supervisors or process implementers to assess needs and objectives, provide direction and mentor colleagues in SOPs, lean principles, kaizen events and new ways of working.
* Manage projects through implementation, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and sustaining results.
* Improve factory floor layouts, optimise workflow and operator movement, and liaise with the Engineering team on specification procurement and implementation of new plant and equipment.
* Maintain adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.
* At least 5 years proven experience in a dedicated process improvement manufacturing environment.
* Skilled and qualified in lean manufacturing processes and methodologies (Six Sigma, 5S, PDCA, Kaizen, Kanban, etc.).
* HND level (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline with experience of AutoCAD and the MS Office suite.
* Excellent influencing and communication skills at all levels.
* Strong analytical capabilities to diagnose problems, measure/collect and analyse data, determine root cause and implement sustainable solutions.
* Results‑driven and data‑focused with the ability to motivate others to embrace continuous improvement.
