I am currently partnering with an International Consultancy who are seeking a number of qualified rating professionals with a strong technical understanding of the business rates system in England and Wales. You will have a proactive approach to case management and client service, with excellent negotiation and report writing skills. You will need to be confident at engaging with clients, presenting advice, and representing clients at Valuation Tribunal if/ when required.This role is perfect for someone who is seeking to thrive in a role that allows autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to develop strong client relationships across a diverse portfolio across Retail, Commercial and Industrial & Logistics!
Your new role
1. Provide business rates advice to clients across commercial property sectors
2. Manage Check, Challenge and Appeal (CCA) processes
3. Prepare and submit rating appeals and negotiate with the VOA
4. Analyse rental and valuation evidence for submission
5. Liaise with clients, local authorities and professional bodies
6. Represent clients at Valuation Tribunal hearings where appropriate
7. Prepare reasoned reports, advice letters, and valuation calculations
