Divisional Governance Lead - Urgent Care
Band 8A - Full Time Hours - 37.5 per week. Cross site working

We are looking for a Governance lead to join our Urgent Care division that covers the Emergency Departments / Urgent Treatment Centre's, Acute Medicine and Frailty clinical units across both acute sites. We are looking for someone who can
demonstrate experience in delivering outstanding clinical services, has a proven track record on delivering quality improvements in nursing and integrated teams and be passionate about working as a collaborative leader within the organisation and within the wider system.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for leading the Urgent Care quality and clinical governance programme.
Have a proven track record of delivering quality improvements in nursing care.
Develop relationships with key stakeholders across Sussex.
Support the implementation of the clinical governance framework.
Support the development of policies and procedures and ensure policies are embedded in practice.
Support practices with delivery of their quality action plans.
Support improvement planning and preparation for external inspections.

Job responsibilities
To gather, analyse and interpret information in order to provide reports in respect of key quality indicators. To seek assurance that standards are being achieved or that actions are completed where issues are highlighted.
To facilitate the investigation of serious incidents, internal investigations and complaints in accordance with Trust policies and procedures and ensure that lessons are learned are implemented, and shared within the Division and across the organisation.

* Registered Practitioner, First Level Qualified Nurse or relevant experience.
* NVQ 4 in Management or appropriate diploma management course.
* A minimum of six years' experience in Risk Management with a Clinical Diploma in Risk Management or equivalent.
* Root Cause Analysis Training
* Evidence of continuing relevant professional development to masters equivalent level
* Previous experience of implementation of Clinical Governance processes and procedures at a senior management level
* Proven experience of working in a clinical setting
