Quality and Development Manager Childrens Residential Care
Location: Burton upon Trent
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, across a 7-day rota with varied shifts
Are you passionate about raising standards and delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people? Were looking for an experienced leader to take on a pivotal role driving quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across our childrens homes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure full compliance with the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, undertaking audits and ensuring services are Ofsted-ready.
* Support Home Managers with the daily running of services, recruitment, supervision, and development of high-performing teams.
* Lead on safeguarding, ensuring the welfare and safety of children and staff at all times.
* Build strong relationships with local authorities, schools, health services, and other key partners.
* Manage rotas, budgets, and regulatory requirements efficiently.
* Drive continuous improvement and staff development, working alongside therapeutic professionals to embed best practice.
* Provide operational support in the absence of the Home Manager and contribute to on-call duties where required.
What Were Looking For:
* Experience in a leadership role within childrens residential care or a closely related setting.
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and the Childrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
* Excellent organisational, auditing, and communication skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and achieving positive outcomes for young people.
* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards).
