Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor (English and/or Maths)
Location: Northumberland
Pay: Up to £35 per hour (depending on group size and school/learner needs)
Are you passionate about helping learners build confidence and essential skills in English and/or Maths? We’re looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to support learners across Northumberland.
Key Duties:
* Deliver engaging Functional Skills lessons in English and/or Maths.
* Work with learners in schools or alternative settings, either one-to-one or in small groups.
* Adapt sessions to suit individual learning needs and levels.
* Track learner progress and provide regular feedback.
* Help learners build confidence and work towards qualifications.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teaching Status
* Experience delivering Functional Skills (English and/or Maths).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patient, supportive, and flexible in your approach.
* Reliable and well-organised.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
