The position would particularly suit any planners with a passion for specialising in dispute resolution work and gaining more frequent exposure to forensic planning and delay analysis.
You will gain regular exposure to supporting the senior consultants and directors on projects that are experiencing significant disputes throughout the world.
Responsibilities and Duties
Within this role, you will be given the chance to work autonomously on projects, as well as supporting senior delay experts in individual arbitration matters to assist clients in acquiring the desired legal outcome.
Specific duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Assist with updating the programme.
2. Contract Administration
3. Supporting contractors with NEC contracts
4. Ad-hoc support as required by clients.
5. Control, manage and report contractual obligations from procurement to final account.
6. Determine schedules, monitor programmes, and understand risks.
7. Writing reports that can be used in negotiations as well as formal dispute resolution procedures including adjudication, mediation, and litigation.
Desired Skills and Experience
8. 2 years + experience as a construction project planner.
9. Good understanding/ experience of building work.
10. Experience of live project controls work (not necessarily within disputes).
11. Some exposure to carrying out delay analysis within your previous roles would be helpful, however full training can be given to develop your skills in this area.
12. To be able to assist in updating and producing programmes and schedules for live projects.
13. Some working knowledge of Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject, or both.
14. Must have exceptional writing skills and able to contribute to reports where necessary, including the use of persuasive language.
15. Ability to work independently.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements
17. Degree level education in a construction related field or similar equivalent qualification is desired.
18. Membership to a professional body such as the CIOB or CIArb would be advantageous.
