Wood Commissioning is recruiting for an experienced Senior Commissioning Engineer to support the Harbour Energy contract based in Aberdeen.
We are seeking a forward-thinking, pro-active Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our onshore team to support an exciting portfolio of projects and modifications on the Harbour Energy’s North Sea Assets. The scope is long-term, supporting a 5-year contract, and will be largely onshore based with occasional visits offshore to support the commissioning phase of critical projects and modifications. This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of regular presence in the Aberdeen office.
The successful candidate will be engaged on a Limited Company contractor basis operating outside IR35.
Qualifications:
1. HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering related subject
2. BOSIET / OGUK Medical
3. IT Literate (Excel / Word / PowerPoint etc)
4. Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering related subject an advantage
5. Task Risk Management Trained Person
6. Conversant with Project Management Systems
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
7. Demonstrable experience in similar role, with a proven background of delivery
8. Strong multidiscipline experience in O&G system commissioning, start-up and operations
9. Recognised O&G process commissioning background
10. Experienced in attending multidiscipline HAZOP's / Haziose Risk assessment reviews
11. Experienced in the supervision of system commissioning personnel
12. Extensive knowledge of O&G related HSEQ safe working practices / procedures
13. Experienced in the development and coaching of team members
14. Ability to interface and interact with Client Representatives at all levels
15. Conversant with HR practices / processes
16. Conversant with audit process
17. Ability to demonstrate effective and efficient management of processes and personnel
18. Ability to demonstrate high level understanding of HSSE safe working practices and procedures and their implementation
19. Fully conversant with the completions and commissioning process
20. Ability to interpret project procedures, standards, specifications and drawings including PFD's / P&ID's / SLD's / C&E's etc
21. Ability to produce system commissioning strategy documents and develop / review commissioning procedures
22. Familiar with national / international O&G industry legislation, standards and specifications
23. Conversant with completions management software and its functionality
24. Good level of understanding of construction processes
25. Good organisational and scheduling skills
