We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer/Service Technician to join our team in Bristol. In this role, you will perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on manufacturing assets and associated production equipment in production or assembly and test facilities. You will also support the Manufacturing Services Leader and Engineer to ensure objectives are met.
You will work at either the Machine Shop or the Foundry, which are at the forefront of manufacturing, producing Equiax and Single Crystal Nozzle Guide Vanes for Rolls-Royce Civil and Defence products.

What you will be doing
* Carrying out routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing assets such as CNC machines and other production equipment.
* Ensuring manufacturing equipment is safe, available, and operational when required.
* Reading and interpreting machinery drawings, circuit diagrams, schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues for diagnostics and repairs.
* Identifying and recommending improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures, researching and implementing these improvements.
* Coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities with production staff and communicating regularly with team leaders and operators.
* Supporting the induction of new team members and cross-training existing staff.

Applicants should have a time-served advanced engineering apprenticeship with NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Please attach a photocopy of your apprenticeship completion certificate with your CV.
Experience in preventative and routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and inspection on production equipment such as machine tools, vacuum furnaces, and chemical process lines is preferred.
Willingness to engage in projects and continuous improvement activities is essential.
An understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles and operations is required.
Basic IT literacy and knowledge of health and safety standards are necessary.
You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
