Job Summary
The postholder will ensure all properties remain safe, compliant, and well-maintained in line with regulatory requirements and company policies. The role involves managing compliance data, carrying out audits, overseeing contractors and maintenance works, and supporting the onboarding of new properties. Working closely with Managing Agents, providers, and stakeholders, the postholder will help deliver safe homes and high standards of compliance across the portfolio.
Duties
* Managing and updating health & safety and compliance data ensuring the capture is consistent and accurate.
* Conducting internal audits on compliance documentation.
* Work with third party providers and Managing Agents to ensure compliance with SLA's.
* Overseeing monthly maintenance logs and approval of works.
* Monitor costings against budget for compliance renewals and maintenance works.
* Support the Asset & Compliance Manager to build a panel of approved contractors.
* Scheduling works for approved Contractors
* Build professional relationships with all Stakeholder, Managing Agents and Local Authorities.
* Assist on Monthly partnership meetings.
* Support providers & Managing Agents to complying with regulations and Dawson Policies and procedures.
* Oversea and investigate compliance related incidents and breaches and advise Asset & Compliance Manager on next steps.
* Lead on the onboarding of properties within your assigned portfolios.
* Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Asset & Compliance Manager
* Support in the creation of accurate digital records for each property within your assigned portfolio.
* Assist the Asset and Compliance Manager where required.
* Attend site visits when and where required.
* Attend in person audits if required.
* Work in partnership with the Resident Engagement Team.
* Attend training courses and conferences as appropriate.
Experience
* Experience of working within social housing or supported housing.
* Possess good knowledge of regulatory requirements and consumer standards.
* Demonstratable experience of working closely with third parties to achieve shared goals.
* Experience of asset / estate / building compliance.
* Knowledge of all compliance regulatory requirements ie: Gas, EICR and Fire etc compliance.
* Committed and confident in implementing compliance to ensure all properties meet regulations and are safe for residents to reside in.
* Ability to proactively identify concerns and implement resolutions.
* Knowledge of corporate health and safety policies and procedures and experience of actively promoting and enforcing these.
* Ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines in an unpredictable environment.
* Ability to consistently achieve targets and deliver a safe environment of homes for residents.
* Possess a full UK driving license and be able to travel nationwide to all service providers.
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and be able to tailor communication style accordingly.
* Ability to display resilience and integrity when dealing with difficult situations.
