Our Social Workers make a huge difference to the lives of people across our county, and we remain passionate about investing in retaining our own and developing practice. This is an exciting opportunity that offers more responsibility, a supportive role with your colleagues, and the chance to continue supporting and safeguarding some of our most vulnerable and high‑risk children and young people.
We have a career progression framework in place that includes a Practice Educator Programme, an Aspiring Social Work Practice Lead Programme, and an Aspiring Team Manager Programme.
You will be based in the beautiful and scenic Staffordshire Moorlands, working in one of two Assessment and Staying Together Teams. We are a small, supportive and welcoming team that shares excellent relationships with our district colleagues in Early Help, SEND, Education, Children with Disabilities, and we are co‑located with our Children in Care and Care Leavers Team.
But above all, you will bring the desire to work with children and families to give them the right support, at the right time, with the aim of keeping families together where it is safe to do so.
We recognise that our employees are central to everything we do and aim to create a supportive working environment where staff can achieve their full potential and maintain a healthy work‑life balance. In addition to a competitive salary, you will have access to our rewards and benefits program.
