Position: Night Chef de Partie What will you get? Competitive salary ranging from £45,000–£47,000 per annum, based on a 40-hour work week, inclusive of service charge. As a Night Chef, you will oversee the smooth operation of your section during the night shift, demonstrating confidence in kitchen processes and experience in food preparation. You will maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and quality while ensuring the efficient running of the kitchen overnight. Your responsibilities include: Preparing and cooking meals for guests and staff Supervising junior kitchen staff and assigning tasks Managing portion control and preparing mise en place for service Labelling, dating, rotating, and storing all purchased and prepared foods Monitoring inventory, minimizing wastage, and reporting shortages Ensuring all food preparation areas are clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards Handling closing duties and ensuring the kitchen is ready for the next day Following all culinary division policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations Supporting a la carte service and daily specials as directed by senior chefs What we’re looking for? Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Chef de Partie in a luxury hotel or 5-star restaurant Supervisory experience and good working references High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or apprenticeship Level 2 Food Safety and Sanitation certification (or equivalent) Strong written and spoken English skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of your section Attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to prioritise tasks Flexibility to work night shifts and varying hours in line with business needs Passion for delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment Who are we?
