Overview
An opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to take on a hands‑on role within a specialist consultancy delivering complex maritime and coastal infrastructure projects. Work includes port developments, waterfront regeneration, flood defence schemes, and asset upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead geotechnical design from feasibility through to construction
* Specify and interpret ground investigations
* Design retaining structures, slopes, revetments, and earthworks
* Deliver solutions involving piled foundations and ground improvement
* Undertake analysis using Plaxis 2D, WALLAP and Oasys
* Liaise with clients and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
* Mentor junior engineers and support project delivery
* Contribute to tenders and proposals
Requirements
* Master's in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
* Chartered or working towards chartership
* Proven geotechnical design experience
* Familiar with industry-standard analysis software
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Practical, problem‑solving approach
