Summary As the Operations Manager, you will hold a pivotal leadership role, overseeing the complete catering operations for a designated region of Primary and Secondary school contracts. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading our teams in delivering the highest quality food and service. This role requires creative flair, originality, and the strategic ability to make a significant impact within the school catering industry. Main Responsibilities The Operations Manager is accountable for driving performance, profitability, and service quality across the region: Ensure all contracted services are adhered to, flawlessly delivered, and enhanced to exceed client, customer, and company expectations. Provide outstanding support and guidance while managing teams to ensure a consistently fantastic dining experience for students and staff, aligned with all company standards. Continually review the performance and profitability of each contract. Implement controls to manage costs while ensuring the highest level of service quality. Ensure the highest quality food offerings and reflect high-street trends and modern dining preferences. Manage and support the development, progress, and performance of all line reporting managers. Support the sales function in both retaining existing business and securing new contract wins. Ensure stringent compliance with all Health & Safety and Hygiene procedures and standards. Ideal Candidate We are looking for somebody who shares our passion for maintaining the highest standards of food and service for our customers, along with the following: Previous experience in managing and developing teams, preferably in the catering industry A natural positive leader who can demonstrate great teamwork Client relationship management experience Excellent stakeholder management, both internally and externally Experience dealing with HR matters, ie grievances & performance Sound IT knowledge and experience in using different programmes Full clean driving licence We expect all staff to share our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children/young people, and an enhanced DBS disclosure will be sought by the company.
