This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations alongside office administration and statutory compliance. What Were Looking For: Part-qualified accountant, accounts technician, or 5 years experience within finance, combined with office management Strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software Extensive experience across payroll, VAT, CIS, and financial reporting Experience within a manufacturing or similar environment is advantageous Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day finance and office operations, handling internal and external queries Maintain accurate accounting records, including bank reconciliations, Sage updates, and spreadsheet reporting Manage aged debtors and creditors, credit control activities, and payment follow-ups Process weekly and ad hoc payments, including subcontractor payments Reconcile petty cash and company credit cards Support payroll administration, weekly wages, expenses, and payroll-related queries Prepare and submit CIS, PAYE, VAT, and international tax returns in line with statutory deadlines Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Perform costing analysis, valuation reviews, and KPI reconciliations For further information on this opportunity or to take the next step in your finance career, get in touch with Garry Thomson at HireIQ in complete confidence.
