Job Summary
Join our dynamic team at Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled people (QEF) as a Tier 2 visa sponsoring Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist. Work in the state‑of‑the‑art 48‑bed centre in Leatherhead, Surrey, supporting adults with complex disabilities, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and other neurological conditions.
Team & Setting
This role is within a multidisciplinary neuro‑rehabilitation team comprising nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists and other speech & language therapists. You will deliver specialised assessments, neuro‑rehabilitation in a residential setting, and stroke recovery pathways. You will also provide out‑patient care and collaborate with senior SLTs to design service programmes.
We value professional growth through supervision, reflective practice, in‑house training, CPD opportunities and dysphagia competency clinics.
Responsibilities
* Deliver specialised speech, language and swallowing assessments for adults with communication and cognitive challenges.
* Provide neuro‑rehabilitation in a supportive residential setting, offering individual and group interventions.
* Play a key role in stroke recovery pathways, providing essential rehabilitation services.
* Work directly with out‑patients, delivering transformative care and advice.
* Help design and develop SLT programmes under senior SLT mentorship.
* Offer guidance to clients, families and staff on managing dysphagia.
* Own responsibility for your caseload and work independently with minimal supervision.
* Contribute to planning, development and delivery of an effective and efficient service.
* Participate in evaluation and audit of practice, implementing changes to service protocols and care pathways.
* Liaise with other agencies and clients/carers to provide an integrated service.
Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma or degree leading to the RCSLT Certificate to Practice.
* Registered member of RCSLT.
* L Licence to practice with the Healthcare Professions Council.
* Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
* Current UK professional registration.

* £37,338 to £44,962 per year, plus excellent benefits.
